61% Voters vote for Party, not for Candidate in GHMC Elections 2016

61% of voters vote for Party not for candidate in GHMC Elections 2016. As per Infopiper Ground Report (Pre-Poll survey), 61% of respondents said that they would vote for PARTY not for the candidate. It means irrespective of the candidate selected by the party, they would go with the party.

But as a surprise, 39% respondents still consider candidate’s efficiency and background for voting in elections.

Infopiper conducted a pre-poll survey (Infopiper Ground Report) for GHMC elections 2016. The survey predicts the seat share and vote share for each party along with many other details such as voting pattern and voter behaviour in GHMC elections this time.

This survey is conducted on ground in 150 divisions. The sample size is very huge – totalling 10,050 voters. The voters / participants are from various age groups, male and female (gender), various religions and castes, different classes, social status, etc,.

The Questions asked in this survey are prepared by Team Infopiper – based on different parameters.

This pre-poll survey is conducted after the last date of withdrawal of nominations. This opinion poll sums up the survey conducted on January 21 and January 22, 2016.
