Anti incumbency factor in GHMC – 58% voters dissatisfied with Current Corporators

Anti incumbency factor is much more prevalent in GHMC Elections 2016. As per Infopiper Ground Report (Pre-Poll survey)whopping 58% respondents said that they are fully dissatisfied with their current corporators.

It will be surprising to see how voters will respond to the very corporators when they are contesting on other party’s ticket this time.

Infopiper conducted a pre-poll survey (Infopiper Ground Report) for GHMC elections 2016. The survey predicts the seat share and vote share for each party along with many other details such as voting pattern and voter behaviour in GHMC elections this time.

This survey is conducted on ground in 150 divisions. The sample size is very huge – totalling 10,050 voters. The voters / participants are from various age groups, male and female (gender), various religions and castes, different classes, social status, etc,.

The Questions asked in this survey are prepared by Team Infopiper – based on different parameters.

This pre-poll survey is conducted after the last date of withdrawal of nominations. This opinion poll sums up the survey conducted on January 21 and January 22, 2016.

Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the work done by the GHMC Corporator from your constituency over the last five years?

  1. Fully Satisfied – 22%

  2. Somewhat Satisfied – 11%

  3. Somewhat dissatisfied – 9%

  4. Fully dissatisfied – 58%
