Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots got remake rights in Kannada

Hey girls and guys are you surprised after reading the above headlines? But it’s true!  Recently few reports have claimed that renowned production house of south Indian movies Gemini film circuit have become successful in acquiring the remake rights of bollywwod blockbuster movie 3 idiots. It has been seen that sandalwood power star Puneet Rajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep are trying hard to grab the lead roles in movie in Kannada. However, Surya and Pawan Kalyan have been selected for lead roles in Tamil and Telugu version of 3 Idiots.

Few years back, Gemini also procured remake rights for movie Munna Bhai MBBS. Upendra made its remake in Kannada as Uppi Dada MBBS. In Tamil, Kamal Hasan remade it as Vasool Raja MBBS and in Telugu as Shankar Dada MBBS by Chiranjeevi. Though the movie did not receive a good response from audience in Kannada but it was an outright winner from the first day of its release in Telugu. Also, movie received commercial success in Tamil remake.

3 idiots starring Aamir Khan in lead role is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel “five point someone”. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, this movie has made a history in bollywood industry by earning 43 million pounds globally.

The movie title for Kannada version of 3 idiots is not yet decided. It could be one from muuru muurkaru, muuru heddaru or muuru avivekigalu.
