Southern Railway will run summer special trains 2012 between Chennai Central and  Mangalore during April, May & June 2012. Here are the full details about the special trains for Chennai Central and Mangalore Central.

1) Chennai Central – Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Specials (via.Coimbatore): T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on Wednesdays from 11.4.2012 to 20.6.2012 and arrive Mangalore Central at 13.05 hrs. the next day. T.No.06002 Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Mangalore Central at 19.20 hrs. on Thursdays from 12.4.2012 to 21.6.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 11.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Ambur, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.T.No.06002 will stop at Perambur also.

2) Chennai Central – Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Specials (via.Coimbatore): T.No.06003 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 17.40 hrs. on Sundays from 15.4.2012 to 24.6.2012 and arrive Mangalore Central at 09.45 hrs. the next day. T.No.06004 Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Mangalore Central at 20.30 hrs. on Mondays from 16.4.2012 to 25.6.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 12.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
