Google Doole 1 May 2011 World's Fair Exposition

Here is the Google Doodle to celebrate the 160^th anniversary of the World’s Fair exposition on May 1, 2011. The first expo was opened on 1 May 1851, with The Great Exhibition in Hyde Park’s Crystal Palace. It was an idea of Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert to organize an exhibition.

This Expo is officially titled the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations. It is clearly reflected in the doodle with the arched glass roof of the palace central to the image.
