Harry Houdini Google Doodle
Google Doodle displayed the image of Harry Houdini on the occasion of his birthday (today, 24 March 2011). Harry Houdini, born on 24 March 1874, was a Hungarian-born American magician and escapologist, stunt performer, actor, and film producer. He was very popular for his sensational escape acts. Harry was also a skeptic who set out to expose frauds purporting to be supernatural phenomena.
Harry Houdini acted in many movies and presented most of them. He presented a short film called Houdini Defeats Hackenschmidt. He started his own film production company ‘Houdini Picture Corporation’. Harry produced and starred two films – The Man From Beyond (1921) and Haldane of the Secret Service (1923).
