Samajwadi Party got the majority in UP to form Government

Samajwadi Party has emerged as the single largest party in Uttar Pradesh and has got enough majority and seats to form government on its own for 2012-2017 tenure. Mulayam Singh Yadav would become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh after the reign of BSP (Mayawati) for 5 years.

Samajwadi Party is leading in 210 odd seats and inching towards the clear majority to form the government on their own. Mayawati’s BSP was left out with 80 odd seats, leaving BJP to 40 plus and 30 odd seats to Congress and RLD alliance.
